Astrid & Co Studio

Our Story
Astrid & Co. was born during a season of becoming. As I navigated new motherhood with twins, balanced a corporate career, and searched for who I was beneath the titles I carried, I realized I wasn't looking for a new version of myself. I was finding my way back. Horses became the mirror that reminded me who I had always been: capable, courageous, and most myself when I was willing to show up with honesty.
The name comes from my mare, Astrid. Strong yet gentle, intuitive yet resilient, she has taught me some of life's greatest lessons both in and out of the saddle. She reminds me that confidence is earned through consistency, clarity comes from listening before leading, and the strongest partnerships are built on trust. The "& Co." represents every woman on her own journey back to herself. Together, we're building a community that believes it's never too late to begin again.
Today, Astrid & Co. is where horses, storytelling, and personal growth come together. Through thoughtful writing, honest conversations, and a growing community, my hope is to help women take the reins of their own lives with greater confidence, clarity, and momentum. Whether you're returning to horses after years away, chasing a dream you've put on hold, or simply looking for your next chapter, you're welcome here.

Meet Joy
Founder
I'm a writer, speaker, corporate leader, lifelong horse girl, and mom of twins who believes our greatest transformations don't come from becoming someone new. They come from remembering who we were all along.

For more than a decade, I've helped people find clarity through communication, leadership, and strategy. But some of my greatest lessons have come outside the boardroom, in the barn, where horses have taught me that confidence is built through consistency, clarity comes from trust, and momentum begins with a single courageous step. Astrid & Co. grew from the intersection of those worlds: ambition and authenticity, motherhood and identity, horses and healing.
Whether you're returning to horses after years away, rebuilding your confidence after a life transition, or simply searching for what comes next, I hope this becomes a place that reminds you of what's always been there. You already have what it takes. Sometimes you just need a place to take the reins and come back to yourself.

Horses don't ask us to become someone else.
They reveal who we already are.
In learning to understand them, we often discover ourselves.
